It should be illegal for people to protest, or in any way disrupt a military funeral. A funeral should be considered a gathering of people who wish to say good-bye to a person, and the rights of the grieving should be observed. Family and friends should have the right to say good-bye to a loved one without being harassed. The right of free speech and the right to peacefully assemble should not take priority over the rights of citizens attending a funeral, as these rights were put in our constitution as a means for citizens to petition the government for change. A funeral is neither a government body nor the correct venue for such things.
