Police are equipped with Tazzers and Bear Mace but if a dog is running at them the first thing they reach for is their gun. Dogs are a man's best friend and family to their owners. Dogs do not understand the concept of a Police Officer coming to their home for their owner and if they see their owner in trouble its a matter of nature when they get in attack mode. A Police Officer (If notices the animal from a few meters away) see the dog and have time to pull a gun, they should be able to grab a tazzer instead..
