make it illegal for politicians to campaign while serving in a public office.

Created by A.C. on February 08, 2016

Lawmakers need to be held accountable to the same laws as other public servants. For example, in many states it is illegal for teachers to strike even when protesting unfair or dangerous work conditions. Conservatives argue teachers are wasting tax payers' dollars and failing to do their job. Politicians should has be held to the same standards. No politician, whether a governor or senator, should be allowed to campaign while actively serving a term in office. Politicians are campaigning while collecting a public paycheck even though they are not serving those who elected them. If a politician is campaigning than they are not doing their required public duty.
