We the people ask the federal government to Take or explain a position on an issue or policy:

Make it illegal for the "Protected" to contact the "Respondent" after a protective order is issued nationwide.

Created by A.B. on May 23, 2016

In most counties in the US, this is already law. But not in Marion County, Indiana. In order to get a protective order, you must prove that you are scared of the person you are filing it against. You're not scared, obviously, if you are contacting the person repeatedly after petitionIng the court for protection. It's contempt every where else, as it should be. Please help me make this a nationwide law so I can help protect domestic violence victims like myself.
