If a person has donated sperm to a person(s) and the appropriate paperwork deeming the donor as being exempt from child support or any other parental responsibilities has been filed, the donor should not in any way be forced into parental responsibilities. This issue has been brought to light by the recent news of the lawsuit of William Marotta, a Kansas man who donated sperm to a couple. The couple separated, and the biological mother of the child who was born as a result of the sperm donor is now suing Marotta for child support. This sort of behavior needs to be made unacceptable in the eyes of the law.
