Make it illegal for U.S. based companies to produce their products outside of the U.S.

Created by D.B. on November 14, 2012

To make illegal the common practice of companies to use overseas outsourcing of particular manufacturing jobs to produce a product at lower cost for the sole purpose of improving their own profits rather than decrease consumer costs. While some forms of manufacture may be necessary for a company to keep overseas based on the particular product being produced, many others are capable of being produced here. With the economy and unemployment in the condition that it is, a policy such as this would keep thousands of jobs in the United States and aid in improving our current economic shortcomings through decreased spending on government benefits required by the unemployed and underpaid as well as keeping the money spent on overseas manufacture in the United States..
