It should be illegal for websites to display arrest records for people whose charges have been dropped and then go and and charge ridiculous fees to have the information taken off. This is extortion and websites like this are making a lot of money. These websites hold this information and anyone has access to them and may see that you were arrested and form false conclusions. If the charges were dropped there should be no reason to use this sort of extortion for financial gain. Sign the petition to end this. It will haunt you all of your life and may be the reason you do not get hired somewhere or are looked down upon. This is your private information! Let's give ourselves our privacy back!
