The case of Julian Assange shows that the U.S. government thinks it's ok to violate Executive Order 13526 Section 1.7 and classify things to conceal illegal acts, and they also think it's ok to hammer whistleblowers who expose corruption. This petition is designed to protect whistleblowers who expose corruption. We ask that the Obama administration work with Congress and the Supreme Court to pass laws which say that people who commit espionage cannot be charged with a crime if the espionage that they commit reveals that U.S. government entities abused their authority. We Americans realize that people like Julian Assange should be rewarded for their acts, not receive grief from corrupt politicians. We also realize that any government who abuses its authority deserves to get snitched on.
