make it mandatory for all teachers to have and be trained with firearms while on the job to protect the children

i believe our children would be more safe in the classroom and on school grounds in general if the government were to make it mandatory for all teachers to have and be trained with firearms while on the job in order to protect and prevent future instances such as the sandy hook shooting and columbine and other happenings of the like. if the teachers of the school in Connecticut would have been armed they could have shot and wounded if not killed the gunman who was might i add mentally ill (not the guns fault) and prevented him from killing or even injuring ANY children. i believe our government should take action and promote law abiding citizens to own and be trained in using firearms not taking them away and letting the people be defenseless against the criminals who have them illegally.
