Make it mandatory that anyone who abuses an animal such as Michael Vick receives a six year prison sentance.

I am creating this petition in response to Michael Vick. A profecional football player who was caught fighting dogs for money. As a result of his actions many dogs were hurt, disfigured for life, and killed.
He is also an idol and role model to childred and adults alike.
It is not right to abuse animals, and it is not right that anyone who does such a thing should be an idol and role model.
And the fur industry sometimes skins animals alive for their fur including dogs and cats. This is not right! Animals are Gods creatures too, and deserve basic cival rights just as people do.
I am hoping others who agree with me will sign this petition to finally put a stop to such horible abuse.
I am petitioning that anyone caught abusing an animal receive not less than six years in prison.
