I along with many veterans and people of this country feel that it would be in the best interest of the United States and for foreign relations if it was a requirement to become President of the United States that you have to have served in the United States military (i.e. Army, Marines, Air Force, or Navy) for a minimum of 10 years or have had to attain the ranks of E-7 for enlisted or O-4 for Officers.
Having military experience would be a great plus for the POTUS for the following reasons:
1. Would better understand the needs of the military.
2. Would have an understanding of military leadership and would have a better understanding of the advise given from the Chiefs of Staff.
3. Would know how to best use the military for the defense of our great country and in times of war abroad
