I believe that much hate and racism could be averted through our education system. Federally funded schools are not allowed to teach Black African-American History the way the history of other cultures are taught. They skim over one well known person in February.
I feel that some racially motivated crimes may be averted if "TRUE" African American History is taught from Kindergarten through college. We are the most misunderstood race on the planet. Many seem to feel that we are fair game for hate. In this country free means "not Black".
I would be willing to bet that the police who are accused of committing horrific crimes against African Americans, have never had an exam on Black History. I can make the same bet for many of the people who ask us to vote for them, and most teachers.
