Recently while traveling abroad, I was struck by the fact that the advertised prices of goods and services was what I ended up paying.
I immediately realized how frustrating my entire life had been up until this point when it came to paying for anything as a United States citizen.
It should be a federally enforced policy for all businesses to advertise all prices with taxes already factored in.
The implementation of actual (taxes applied) prices, might seem like a small thing, but it would eliminate any anguish one would feel when they get to the register and end up paying more than they figured for. It would make any budgeting on the fly much more viable, without having to stop and calculated the tax for every new item selection.
