With the resent NSA leaks and the general loss in privacy in the past few years, it should be mandatory for companies like Verizon, Google, Facebook, etc, to alert you what your privacy is at stake. They need to communicate to you that your information is being read by a third party, be it the government or another group or individual. This includes advertisements on websites.
