Make it Mandatory for Nutritional Labels to Include Percent Daily Value(%DV) for Sugar.

Created by V.R. on May 20, 2015

According to the American Heart Association's recommendations limiting added sugar intake to 6-9 teaspoons a day is ideal. Added sugar is not required for the body to function. However, it does contribute to obesity and obesity related health problems.

Including percent daily values(%DV) for sugar on nutrition labels would be beneficial. It would inform the consumer. It may also, over time, help curve the current high rates of obesity in adults and children.
