Make it Mandatory for Pharmacy Prescription Labels to Have Expiration Date and Lot Number

Make it mandatory for all pharmacies in the United States of America to print correct "use by dates" on each prescription label. A medication that a pharmacy dispenses usually has a "use by date" that is printed on the prescription label. The default expiration date is usually one year from the date of fill. The problem that arises is when stock medication bottles have an expiration date that is less than one year from the date of fill. The default date should be one year unless the stock medication bottle is set to expire sooner. If a 1000 count bottle has an expiration date of 05/14/2014 and 30 pills are dispensed on 02/13/2014, then the prescription label should have a maximum expiration of 05/14/2014 not the default date of 02/13/2015. Make it mandatory to print the safe use by date.
