I think part of the problem is that instead of complaining about there being a Republican vs Democrat president that we need one that understands the needs of the average American. Presidents often say they understand our situations yet know nothing about what it's like to be a single mother trying to make ends meet and keep CPS away. Or a father who works 2 jobs to support his family yet still fall below the poverty line. I think it should be mandatory for anyone running for president to live as an average American with his/her kids in public school making an average Americans salary for a YEAR before running. I think it would change their perspective on what we need.
