Without ammunition firearms are little more that fashion accessories. Forget gun regulation there will always be guns but from the recent tragedies we see a pattern. That pattern is the amount of ammunition each gun man had available to them. There is no red flag and there is no regulation on how much ammunition a person can buy at any one or separate occasions. So I put forth that if a person also had to register for the ability (or have a license) to purchase ammunition they may think twice about purchasing large amount and many would not be able to purchase at all. Also there could be a regulation on the amount of ammunition purchased per month/ per year on a low to high scale and going over a set amount will be red flagged based on a number identification system applied to each person
