Shielding students from the truth about guns is not the answer to stopping gun related incidents that have been in the news recently. This petition would make it so that public schools would be required to offer gun safety courses to educate students about firearms in hopes that the frequency of gun related violence would lessen given the education received in these courses. Courses should be taught by trained firearms instructors, veterans, or police officers.
