Make it mandatory for schools teaching grades 9-12 to create elective classes that teach about ALL religions.

Created by K.G. on January 09, 2012

The Constitution reads, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". However, with misinformation circulating these days via word of mouth and the media it comes as no surprise when we see news stories on the television and the internet of people getting harrassed, hurt or murdered because of their religion. And often times, these crimes are committed because of ignorance. This makes it hard to promote tolerance of other religions so they may practice as the First Amendment gives them the right to do.
So it is my suggestion that the government promotes (or makes mandatory for) schools teaching grades 9-12 to create elective classes that teaches about all recognized religions (Paganism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Christianity, etc)
