Many Americans are stuck in a self-fulfilling prophecy regarding our current two-party system, and how it is impossible to break down the political machine to allow other presidential candidates to express their views, which are also the views of millions of Americans. These millions of Americans are silenced due to the extreme views of the Republican and Democratic parties, which garner all of the media's attention. The news media has no stake in sharing the voices of millions of Americans who do not subscribe to the rhetoric of the extreme right and left.
I propose that we the people make it mandatory that a third party presidential candidate participate in all presidential debates. The voice of this minority has been silenced for too long, and we need meaningful change.
