make it a misdemeanor for school personnel to confiscate student property (including cell phones) without due process

Created by E.E. on March 13, 2013

School District employees across America are sometimes required by District policy to confiscate student cell phones. Students should not be required to give up their cell phones and other property to the District personnel without any due process. We believe it is a violation of student property rights when school employees take student property without due process and we ask that this crime be made a misdemeanor.
