If everybody carries a gun criminals will think twice before they commit crime. More gun bans only punish the law abiding citizens. It will only make the criminal more confident in commiting a crime. Concentrate on the punishing the criminal and not the law abiding citizen. It is written in the constitution. The right to bear arms.
