This petition is created to increase the ownership sphere of media to those depicted within the media, unless explicitly released via written consent. This will end revenge posting, and limit paparazzi and social media sites (like Facebook).
Revenge posting is the posting of media, typically nudity originally made in confidence, in public spaces as a form of revenge. However, restricting the scope of this law to nudity will not fully protect the privacy of citizens. It will force social media sites to blackout faces of those not consenting BY DEFAULT! Some practices of the paparazzi will be limited as well by consequence.
Those employed by police & news agencies should have special considerations. Those elected to or running for public office are exempt, except in cases of nudity.
