We the people think the state of North Carolina should allow people to hold public office, even if they deny the existence of God. Artical 6 section 8 of the North Carolina constitution states that...
"The following persons shall be disqualified for office:
First, any person who shall deny the being of Almighty God."
We are at a point in our society where people should not be forced to believe in a God in order to hold public office. It is important for us to move on as a nation to have our leaders have the will to think freely.
We the people think that your belief in God should not effect holding public office in North Carolina.
