Lots of poor folks when visiting relatives and friends in hospitals have little to no money, and some travel considerable distance to visit. Food stamps should be allowed for use in hospital cafeterias for two reasons: 1) To help ease discomfort both for the patient and the visitor; 2) Hospital cafeteria food is healthy and would be good for a food stamp participant to consume.
