A grown man should not be forced to speak against his will, and if he chooses not to speak, it is ludicrous for that decision to cost $100,000. If the fans want to interact with the players there are multiple avenues to pursue. It is unconscionable for the NFL to have this policy, as it violates the concept of free speech.
