The media makes up facts to attack violent games. The
media is responsible for creating moral panics by saying video games cause real life violence when studies have failed to find a conclusive link. The media and pro-censorship groups make up facts to link violent games to shootings, cites hoaxes, and similar.
A hoax Eric Harris site saying "Doom will become reality" was used by a pro-censorship group's amicus brief in Brown vs EMA to attack games. They tried to sway the Supreme Court using this.
If we can't yell "fire" to cause a panic, why can they do this? Make it illegal to do so! Make them do jail time and revoke licenses.
