make it so no gov't body can pass any law that applies to American citizens, but not themselves; and vice versa.

Created by E.M. on February 21, 2014

Currently, there are numerous laws, statutes, and federal guidelines that are imposed on the general US population, but some members of government are exempt from. And conversely to that, there are numerous of the previous that benefit ONLY those same members of the government, and not the public in general. This is clearly an abuse of office. Our ELECTED officials should not be allowed to pass any legislation that essentially is good for them, but not good for the rest of us.

They forget all too soon as they're behind their desks that they are there to serve us, and to serve in office in the best interest of their constituents.

It ought to be made illegal for any legislation to be passed that does not apply to all US citizens, and/or beneficial only to members of the government.
