Since that horrific tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School, many Americans have called upon the government to ban assault rifles and high capacity magazines. Both Democrats and Republicans can't agree on a solution on how to reduce or eliminate these shootings. I believe my idea may work. My idea is for that anyone who wishes to buy a gun (assault rifles) they must go through a mental health evaluation and go through a thorough background check. Anyone who has some sort of mental disorder such as a personality disorder for instance, will not be permitted to buy a weapon.
