Make it unlawful for publicly owned companies to make political contributions or publicly support candidates

This issue is important to me because it is absurd that a company that is publicly owned can contribute to political action committees. It is just a back door way to contribute to the campaign of somebody running for office. A publicly owned company cannot speak for the beliefs or standings of all of its shareholders. If I own stock in a company, I own a portion of that company. The board members of that company have no right to use my money to support a certain party or candidate. This is an issue that affects every citizen in this country. It's unfair, unethical and corrupt.
