The 2nd Amendment to the Constitution is often used to rationalize the right to own any kind of weapon that one desires. The 2nd Amendment has been co-opted by those who stand to profit and by those who treat weapons designed for combat as toys.
It is time to recognize that some things, such as the right to worship, shop, watch a movie, or to be safe at school far outweigh the ability to legally obtain a weapon of mass-murder in the name of self defense.
'Protection against a tyrannical government' is often used as an excuse to stock up on combat-styled weaponry. Our govt is far from lovable, However, one is hard-pressed to find an instance of our govt murdering school-children.
Let's make those who sell & make weapons of mass-murder legally liable for what they sell & make.
