make January 31 a day of remembrance for the men and women who gave their lives exploring space.

Created by D.R. on January 31, 2014

NASA has declared January 31 a day of remembrance for all those who died in the exploration of space. This day should become a national day of remembrance on a par with Memorial Day and Veterans' Day.

These people represent the best of the human spirit; they deserve to be honored and remembered for their sacrifice and contribution. Commemorating these brave people will serve as a reminder of the importance of exploring space and the courage required to be a true pioneer.
