The US treasury has been searching for a suitable female American role model for the face of the new $10 bill.
Jeane J. Kirkpatrick (November 19, 1926 – December 7, 2006) was an American ambassador and an ardent anti-communist. She was a long-time Democrat, who turned Republican in 1985. After serving as Ronald Reagan's foreign policy adviser in his 1980 campaign, she became the first woman to serve as U.S. ambassador to the United Nations.[Wikipedia]
With her leadership at the United Nations, and her implementation of the Kirkpatrick Doctrine; Ms Kirkpatrick was a key member of the Reagan Administration's anti-communist stance that eventually brought down the Soviet Union. All the while holding the highest position for a female diplomat, and becoming a role model to all Americans.
