Make June 28th National Stonewall Day in honor of the bravery of LGBT Americans throughout our nation's history.

Created by J.M. on February 05, 2013

For decades, gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transsexual Americans have fought for the right to love who they wish and their own claim to the American dream and it is time that their bravery and strength be honored. While the fight for fair treatment is not over for millions of Americans who do not fit society's mold for sexuality as well as gender identity, it is imperative that we recognize how far we have come to reminde ourselves of all the work left to be done to insure that America is a nation where all people are treated equal and with the utmost dignity and respect. To pay homage to the men and women who protested at Stonewall and sparked an American civil rights movement that continues to evolve by creating National Stonewall Day is as symbolic as it is honorable. Let's get this done
