On June 8, 1967 the USS Liberty was attacked by the Israeli Air Force and Israeli Navy while ordered into International Waters to collect intelligence information prior to the 6 day war between Israel and Egypt.
34 Crew-members of the USS Liberty were killed and 171 were wounded while operating under the orders of the United States Government.
We the people would like for June 8th to be declared a National Holiday" in remembrance of the attack on Americans by Israel. "IN REMEMBRANCE OF THE CREW-MEMBERS OF THE USS LIBERTY".
