The City of Houston has imposed unfair taxes on us and has also tramped on our individual rights guaranteed to us by the state of Texas and the federal government. We have a sustainable economy and over 60,000 people which meets the requirements laid out by the Northwest Ordinance of 1787 in order to become a state. It would also be part of the effort to reduce large city government interference in America.
