Make law that changes the procedure during domestic violence, stalking, or threatened murder to protect the victim.

Created by C.B. on February 20, 2013

All arrests relating to domestic violence should include a 72 hour mental health evaluation. If the the evaluation is uncertain it should be extended to a 14 day. The suspect should be held until they are no longer a threat to them self or others. The address of the victim should be concealed from all notice given to the suspect.

I lost a friend because her ex boy friend walked through a restraining order, stabbed her and kidnapper their child. He had tried to drug her last time they saw each other. She had moved several times to protect herself when a court notice gave him her current address. He had threatened her life several times. We lost an incredible women, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. Let us say no more to needless death. For Teri Chase Morris
