Volunteer Fire Department Chiefs should all get paid.........I have a good friend who is one and he does a lot for that fire dept. Lots of late nite calls, lots of training, lots of meetings, lots of personal expense, lots of responsibility and all that is above the fire fighting duties they perform, its a shame the counties do not pay those guys.........they deserve a salary for all they do and much much more..........
