make a law to keep non essential stores closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas and help keep families together on holidays

Created by C.M. on November 13, 2012

Thanksgiving and Christmas are times to be spent with loved ones.Places such as gas stations and 24 hour pharmacies remain open and there is absolutely no need for any non essential store to be open.By remaining open these businesses are forcing(many times mandatory and not on a volunteer basis) their workers to miss a day with their friends and families that should be spent celebrating together. The C.E.O.'s of these companies only care about making a buck and keeping share holders happy. If they cared about their employees they would voluntarily shut the doors on these two days yearly. Two out of three hundred and sixty five, doesn't seem like to much to ask. Anyone who goes out shopping on these days for non emergency items should feel ashamed. And no,cranberry sauce is not an emergency.
