It should be illegal to not be immunized in our country. Certain vaccines, such as varicella and MMR, are not administered until children are at least 12 months old. This leaves babies at risk to contract these diseases, which can lead to pneumonia, severe infections, brain damage, deafness, and even death. People who don't get vaccinated are endangering the welfare of every baby they come into contact with. Making immunizations mandatory by law will protect millions of children from suffering.
