Make a Law to stop the news from lying, extending the truth, or be opinionated. This would force them to tell the facts.

Created by C.F. on November 15, 2012

The federal government should create a law preventing the news from having the ability to lie, stretch the truth, or make their opinion seem like the truth. If the news claims to be an entertainment news then disable the use of the word news. They can change the description from entertainment news to "Entertainment Broadcast, or etc.". If the news did not do the following the law would prevent then citizens would be more informed of the current events in the country. The law would not be to divulge their sources, but do more research on the matter so they are not misinforming people. We have news reports that lie or stretch the truth during election time especially. They also make people miss believe certain information about events like disasters and wars "Sandy, Wars, etc.".
