We the people ask the federal government to Propose a new Administration policy:

Make Laws Against Art Theft

Created by Z.G. on August 29, 2016

In the summer of 2016, the company known as "Zara" and "Francesca's" both stole dozens of designs from independent artists. They put these on t-shirts, which earned them a very very large sum of money. These cases are just two of many instances in which large companies steal art from small artists. Artists do not make much (this is a well known fact,) but we should have a federal copyright program. This program would copyright art for free or a rather small fee and broaden the definition of "art theft." Independent artists are getting ripped off every single day and some of their stolen works sell for millions. If we get this through, we can save people's unique and beautiful creations, from being copied and sold to others.
