make laws to prohibit adoption agencies from disallowing two competent homosexual parents to adopt children.

Created by A.P. on October 13, 2011

If two individuals are married and want to adopt children, nothing should prevent them from doing so. When the government doesn't step in and say that discrimination based on sexual orientation is wrong, the effects of that decision extend to children who desperately need homes. Every day adoption agencies don't allow a child to be adopted into a stable home is another day that a child stays in a foster home. But it doesn't have to be this way. If the government makes it illegal to discriminate on the sole basis of sexual orientation, more children will have stable and secure homes rather than spending the rest of their lives in an agency. Adoption agencies should not be able to turn away any two parents who have proved to have a good home and a stable environment for a child.
