Make laws simple, require legislators to swear they have read a law before voting to pass it.

Laws frequently consist of thousands or even tens of thousands of pages. It is not possible to fully understand the implications of such laws, this fosters unintended consequences, and leaves room for loopholes in the details. Any law worth implementing will be simple in scope and purpose, and as such, should be drafted clearly and simply. Limit individual laws to 20 pages. No legislator should be allowed to vote on a law without first reading and understanding it themselves.
