Years ago our Ancestors traveled across the Atlantic looking for a better life but times have changed. These days legal immigration has became very tough for Citizens of Britain and Ireland with British Citizens not even being eligible for the Diversity Lottery program (Except NI).
Australia has the E-3; Britain and Ireland don't. Canada and Mexico have the TN; Britain and Ireland don't. Singapore have the H1b1 and again Britain and Ireland citizens do not... This is unfair as many British citizens have great respect for America and would love the chance to work and live in the USA.
Our ideal response would be a Immigrant Visa for British and Irish Citizens even with if just with a small quote per year (10,000) and possibly passed in any upcoming Immigration Reform.
