Like most of the legislation from the Obama administration, the idea of White House Petitions is based on a good idea, but the follow through is lacking. We propose that actual legislation be brought before congress based on the petitions, and put it to an actual vote rather than just issue a canned response and then quickly forgotten about. This is an open forum for the people, give it some teeth rather than patronize us.
