Currently level one sex offenders have more right to privacy than our children have the right to be safe. Level one sex offenders are not shown on sex offender maps unless they are 'Transients'. This needs to change. These offenders hurt children, raped, did crimes in or with sexual motivation. Our children have more rights to be safe than they currently have. Here is what Whatcom County states about a level one offender.."The majority of the registered sex/kidnapping offenders in Whatcom County are classified as Level 1 offenders. They usually know, live with, or are related to their victims." " Level 1 offenders may not be the subject of public notification (with the exception of homeless or transient level 1 sex/kidnap offenders)." Please protect our children!
