Make the life long welfare recipients actually work for their money

The Work Progress Administration was original created during the Great Depression to put people back to work. The Government paid people to work, creating many public buildings, parks, and bridges still used today. The government was paying these people to work, and receiving benefits from their labor. Why is it today that the Government feels the need to pay welfare recipients to do nothing? Can the government do something similar to the W. P.A today? Make these able bodied people work like the rest of us. I for one am tired of seeing people live off the Government with: Medicaid, Electronic Benefit Transfer, Supplemental Security Income. People are not simply entitled to goods they should earn them. Please reform welfare!
