Today there are over 10,000 Lobbyists with permanent offices in Washington D.C. They are all paid to give money to Congress to sway their votes on the major issues of the day. The service of the majority of Americans has long been abandoned because We The People, don't have lobbyists.
Banking laws are written by the bank lobbies. Drug laws are written to protect the profits of the banking community. Energy rules are written to protect the auto makers, the oil companies, and so forth.
The only way to get REAL LAWS that solve REAL PROBLEMS today is to Criminalize all Lobbying of any kind. Mr. President, please work to make lobbying a felony punishable by up to ten years in prison and a ONE MILLION DOLLAR FINE to all co-conspirators per incident and prosecuted by the FBI.
